Video Game Creation and coding for kids

WHY DO WE NEED TO TEACH CODING TO KIDS?

In this digital era, every second job is a tech job and our schools are still teaching only simple operations like left-clicking – right-clicking the mouse which students can learn easily in no time.

Coding classes at Teens Computer School are designed to develop programmatic literacy related to data science, data structures, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

We need to impart life skills to students and make them ready for future jobs. After all, Coding is the next level of literacy!

Teens Computer School this is where future video game designers start their learning path. Create a fun, interactive animated video game with some of the coolest software around.  At the end of the course, you’ll be able to show off your video game to friends and family. You’ll also receive a USB Flash Drive with your work so you can continue to play and develop your video game at home.

Video Game Creation and coding

Today, from kids to teens, nothing is more popular than a computer. Often parents start to worry: their kid isn’t interested in anything other than a computer. He is ready to sit in front of one all night long. Neither talking nor punishment helps! What to do?

You can’t always fight it, but you sure can control it. We can help you turn the time your child spends at a computer into knowledge. If your child likes video games to such an extent, why not see how they’re made and put his strength and knowledge to the test? The enjoyment that a child gets from our courses is no less than that of a video game and the intelligence is even greater. As a result, as it usually happens, the child’s interests in the future may turn into an exciting, prestigious and high paying profession.

Throughout the year, teachers at Teens Computer School develop the curriculum, teaching methods and technological adaptations of “adult” professional computer programs, designated for students 8 to 18 years of age.

The developed curriculum has been “run” and has proved that it is effective. During the school years from 2007 to  2019, these programs have been used to successfully train and teach close to 150 students, aged 8 to 18.

In this Video Game Creation and coding course students will learn:

MODULE 1

The Tynker Junior course collection comprising of 7 different adventures helps early readers develop foundational programming skills. To use these courses in your classroom, you must download the Tynker Junior app from the App Store. As they progress through the adventures, students learn about sequencing, parameters, events, loops, conditional logic, and nested loops that help to establish foundational coding skills. Then they apply their coding skills in free-form coding studios where they build their own projects with art, music, and animation.

Tynker Junior is designed specifically for young children aged 5-7 — who have limited motor skills and are still developing hand-eye coordination — to learn to code using big blocks, pictures, voiceovers and tap-tap-tap interactions, without words or drag-and-drop or any other actions they may find too tedious or overwhelming.
